Aircraft History
In 1947 this aircraft was first delivered to Hinck Flying Service in Minneapolis, Minnesota with registration number N6542K
In May 1961 this aircraft was registered as N335G
In March 1966 while in Fransvilla Florida, it was reported that the right main tire failed on landing and the aircraft collided with buildings and was reported as destroyed.
The airplane was then reinstated in July 1970.
In 1981 Lakeland Flying Service in Lakeland Florida sold the plane to Richard and Carol Kane of St. Charles, Illinois
In July 1998 it was reported that the aircraft began a water takeoff in Shorewood, Wisconsin and the aircraft became airborne and remained in ground effect and hit a swell bursting the left sponson. The aircraft taxied to shore and lost the right sponson as well during the process.
In February 2007 the plane was sold to Kelly Turner of Elgin, Illinois.
In January of 2019 the aircraft was sold to Jim Finefield of Cary, Illinois with whom ownership remains today.
Jim Finefield had purchased this aircraft with hopes of restoring it. Due to other projects he has decided to sell this project in the hopes of someone who will get it flying again soon!
